Wing Chicx Kalbi Que

Wing Chicx is a small Korean restaurant hidden in the southside. The interior is quite colorful and the atmosphere is good for family or friendly gatherings. Is it worth the drive? Well the portions are fairly large, the prices aren’t so bad, and the food is decent. Their menu features a variety of signature Korean dishes and their specialty chicken.

I ordered the Bi Bim Bap ($10), which is what I get every time I go to a Korean restaurant. Sadly I didn’t like how it was prepared at Wing Chicx. I was expecting a sunny side egg but it came with Japanese style egg crepes instead. It came with beef, a lot of vegetables, and a good ratio of rice. It was a pretty filling plate but I felt that I’ve had better at other Korean places.
My friend had Sizzling Wing Chicx Chicken ($16) which he says was “worth the drive”. It was deeply marinated BBQ chicken that is thinly sliced with sautéed vegetables in their signature hot sauce.

Of course we had to order some KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) which is what Wing Chicx is known for. The chicken was crispy and not greasy like normal deep fried chicken. It was served with hot sauce and sweet and sour radish pickles. For a half order of about 7 to 8 pieces, it was $15. If you are craving fried chicken, I would recommend coming here to try it!
