Coco Deep Fried Chicken

If you’re in the northside and you have Korean fried chicken cravings, look no further than Coco Deep Fried Chicken! They used to have a southside location as well but it closed down. There are a variety of KFC flavours to choose from: crispy, sweet n hot, soy garlic, snow cheese, honey butter, green onion, and half n half. You can get orders as single (6 pieces), double (8 pieces), in a 3 piece or 4 piece set (includes pop + coleslaw + rice or fries), or in deluxe/family combos.  They certainly offer great value for their chicken!

I came here with a few friends last month after seeing their Coco crispy set on their Instagram. We all decided to go with one each since it was so cheap! A set includes 3 pieces of crispy chicken ($10.99) or 4 pieces of chicken ($12.99) with dipping sauce, rice or fries, coleslaw, and a pop can. For myself, I went with soy garlic as my dipping sauce. I was glad that they served the dipping sauce on the side because I hate it when my chicken is drenched in sauce. Sometimes you just don’t wanna get lost in the sauce yeeno? The sauce was on the sweeter side, but it wasn’t that garlicky. The chicken was juicy and pulled apart easily, with a very crispy skin on the outside (my fave part)! I enjoyed how the chicken wasn’t that greasy. Their fries were crispy and tasted pretty much like Costco fries so no complaints there. Overall, I think that this was a great deal because it was very filling and delicious. I would recommend stopping by here to try their Korean fried chicken at least once, even if you’re not in the northside area.
