Sugar & Crumbs

Support local. Eat local.
I know I normally blog about local eateries around Edmonton but I’m going to start focussing on the random post about locally made food as well! If you follow me on Twitter (https://twitter.com/theyegfoodie), you probably saw my Tweet about oreo cheesecake cookies and cheese bread. Where did I get those delicious goodies? From Sugar & Crumbs
What, or should I say, who is Sugar & Crumbs? A local yegger that goes by the name of Sabrina Lorico who might make some of the best damn goodies I’ve EVER had. She bakes everything from scratch from the comfort of her own kitchen (and yes she does delivery – for an extra charge though!) So what does she make exactly? Prepare yourself for a list of yumminess after the photo..
#OCC – Oreo Cheesecake Cookies

  • OREO CHEESECAKE COOKIES. And regular cookies such as chocolate chunk. [A dozen for $15]
  • Sugar  cookies: price varies according to intricacy. [$20 +]
  • Cheese bread: a HUGE loaf of regular cheddar cheese, jalapeno and cheese, or ham and swiss. [$7.50]
  • Mini donuts: no, these are not those greasy unhealthy mini donuts you can get at Kdays. These are GOURMET and super colorful and probably won’t give you a heart attack. [A dozen for $10]
  • Cakes: cakes are custom-made to your own liking. Example photos are on her social media! [Starting at $50]
  • Other sugar & crumb creations: meringues, other types of cookies, cinammon buns, mini cupcakes, macarons, and marshmallow.
  • Future possible creations: homemade smores with homemade graham crackers, scones, and French pastries (such as croissants and croquembouche). I will most likely be the first customer of those homemade smores so stay updated on the blog to see what they’re like! 😀

Oreo cheesecake cookies. I think this is what I imagine heaven to taste like. They were slightly soft and chewy with real chunks of Oreo and a touch of creamy cheesecakeness. I brought these to school and all my friends fell in love with them, so it’s safe to say you probably will as well.
It may not appear so from the picture but this loaf of cheese bread was really big. Sabrina was nice enough to deliver it to me when it was nice and hot straight from the oven so you could say that that ended up being my dinner hahaha. Her cheese bread is made with fresh dough, fresh cheese – fresh errythang. Reheat it the next day to get that cheesiness inside and crispiness on the outside.
If you want to hit up Sabrina for some Sugar & Crumbs, sabrina.lorico@gmail.com is the place to go. Check out her blog (http://theslbook.blogspot.ca/) and Instagram (@sablorico_) to see more of her creations!
