Double Take Doughnuts

Yes, these donuts do taste as good as they look.
I found Double Take Doughnuts on Instagram a while back and was instantly drawn in by their delicious donut photos. I knew I had to place an order, which I finally did last week. Double Take Doughnuts was created by Kayla Harris, who is also co-owner and bakes/sells the donuts from her own home. Orders are placed according to your preference of donut base (chocolate or vanilla) and icing (butter cream, white chocolate, dark chocolate, or cheesecake). I’m not very creative with donut flavours so I browsed their Instagram to choose mine! Donuts can also be made with a certain type of chocolate on top such as Reese’s, Hershey’s Cookies n Cream, or Aero for all you chocolate lovers out there. Some flavours I currently have my eye on ordering are salted caramel and reverse s’mores *drool*.
My order had consisted of: cookies n cream with chocolate drizzle, oreo cheesecake, reese’s pieces with peanut butter drizzle, and mint aero. The donuts were dense but soft and moist. They were sweet but not overly sweet, which I liked. Each donut was full of flavour from the icing, which they didn’t skimp out on either. My particular favorite was the reese’s pieces donut!
