Brunch Time, Edmonton, Whyte Ave

Artisan Resto Cafe

Artisan Resto Cafe is tucked away on the far end of Whyte Ave. I went with a fellow food blogger (Dine With Cari) and she picked this restaurant because she was craving breakfast. Artisan serves all day breakfast along with a list of lunch items and desserts. The breakfast was priced reasonably and service was friendly but the food took a little bit longer even though it wasn’t busy when we came mid-day. We chose to sit on the patio since it was such a nice day.

I ordered the Prairie Gold for $10.29. Similar to a traditional breakfast, it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary but I really wanted eggs and potatoes. There were 2 slices of tomatoes, some fruit garnish, eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast on the side. The potatoes were tasty but the portion of it was too small for my liking. The bacon had an odd taste to it and I mainly tasted fat. This plate did not feel me up enough!

My friend ordered the Breton for $11.29 which was eggs benedict on an English muffin with mushrooms, melted brie cheese, and hollandaise sauce. The eggs were nicely poached and I guess it was as tasty as it looked because she really enjoyed it.

We still weren’t full after so we decided to share belgian waffles for dessert. The waffles came in 4 pieces and we ordered the mixed berry flavour for $10.49. The waffles were very light and fluffy, and the mixed berry topping made it a perfect ending! I would come back here to get the waffles again.
